LEANLAB EDUCATION OVERVIEW

Leanlab Education is a nonprofit education R&D lab validating tomorrow's education innovations through codesign research. We bridge the gap between researchers, product developers, and educators - ensuring evidence flows where it's needed, when it's needed.

We believe that by strengthening edtech's evidence base, supporting the scale of evidence-based edtech, and increasing demand for evidence-based edtech, we can accelerate educational outcomes and ensure all learners have access to effective, excellent solutions.

Our collaborative team is guided by three core values:

  • Adaptability: we operate with curiosity and respond to an evolving landscape

  • Boldness: we take initiative and push boundaries to deliver outcomes for learners

  • Codesign: we design with, not for, the humans at the center of education

AGILE NETWORK OVERVIEW

AGILE is Leanlab's proving ground for educational innovation — a testbed that bridges schools, researchers, and developers around a shared "build with educators and students, not for" commitment. Member systems get early access to promising tools and a voice in shaping them; developers and researchers get direct, structured access to the classrooms and educators best positioned to tell them what works.

AGILE fuels Leanlab's research agenda, so strong alignment between member priorities and edtech solutions is key to generating high-quality evidence. Today AGILE has 36 school and district members; the goal is to grow to 150 by 2029, with intentional focus on geographic, size, and community diversity, and on students furthest from opportunity. The bar for member experience is high, to enable robust research, feedback, and codesign.

POSITION

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, AGILE Network leads the strategy, growth, and member experience of AGILE, Leanlab's national network of school and district partners.

The Director will own AGILE's strategy and hold the network's vision alongside Leanlab's executive team, setting direction for and executing how the network grows, engages, and retains partners to fuel Leanlab's research agenda. They can articulate to partners of all kinds where AGILE is headed and why it matters, with the relationships and credibility to bring others along.

This role suits a K-12 operator with EdTech partnership experience who knows what genuine, authentic collaboration with educators should feel like.

Success means strengthening AGILE across three outcome areas:

  • Grow and strengthen the network: AGILE expands to a diverse, high-quality network of partners while maintaining strong engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Lead a trusted community of practice: School and district leaders experience AGILE as a valuable community for meaningful collaboration, shared learning, and authentic co-design.

  • Fuel Leanlab's research: AGILE is recognized as a leading network for research and innovation, generating insights that improve products, research, and student outcomes.
