WHY I GRAVITATE TOWARD THIS WORK…
Simply put: my former students. During my time as a high school English teacher at DC Public Schools, I had the privilege of working with some extraordinary young people. They showed me what is possible when talent, determination, and curiosity meet opportunity - and also how uneven that opportunity can be.
That experience continues to ground my work today. I’m drawn to efforts that bridge the gap between innovation and the lived realities of classrooms, ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to meaningful, high-quality learning experiences. At Leanlab, I see a chance to make that vision real by connecting educators, researchers, and innovators in ways that keep students at the center of every decision.
